43 days until the Olympics!
- Justin Gatlin lost his case to try to run at Olympic Trials this weekend. The federal judge noted that he lacked jurisdiction to decide the case.
- Staying in track and field, USA Track and Field “decided” (after being told to do so) to trim the fat on their organization. They are reducing the size of their board of directors, while still searching for a CEO. With so many changes going on, it doesn’t surprise me to see the problems USA T&F has been having in. (*Cough, see above item, cough*)
- Check out Yahoo’s bevy of Olympic videos, including an interview with Kobe Bryant about Team USA, and Olympic gold medalist Dominique Dawes discussing the U.S. women’s gymnastics team’s chances in Beijing.
- I mentioned this over at Chicks Heart Fights, but since it involves an Olympian I thought I’d share it here, too. Brad Vering has a Q&A on NBCOlympics.com where he mentions his fondness for fishing.
